| We live in America and had the fortune to stay at the Rose and Crown for three days. The landlord and landlady Barry and Jo wecomed us like family, very nice people. This place has a great selection of REAL ales somthing you don't find here good menu also. This place was exactly how we imagined a good english pub to be, hope for a re-visit in the future. arizona - 27 Oct 2008 20:50 |

| Barry and Jo are doing a good job getting this pub into shape. Good choice of beers - Ansells Mild, Batemans XB, Deuchars and excellent Otter last evening. The garden should be good when it is finished and they now have 3 letting bedrooms too. Good local, good beers, something of a dying breed, unfortunately. metrology_man - 18 Jul 2008 10:04 |
| Excellent Beers probably the only pub in Sandhurst that serves five real ales every weekend. The decor needs a bit of a facelift but on speaking with the Landlord I understand that this is being addressed shortly. Fantastic Garden which should be great for the summer and the recent introduction of food is also a bonus. I would suggest to all readers that this pub is well worth a visit. | The beer here is excellent, as others point out. Yes, the decor is humdrum, but it's a small place with very friendly landlord and drinkers to compensate. There used to be a bar billiards table, and I mourn its departure - where will we ever play again? On the upside there's a good juke box with lots of music that doesn't play too loud.
