Beehive has changed hands yet again. New manager Eddy seems to be a breath of fresh air. 6 yes 6 handpumps featuring Fullers ESB, Discovery and London Pride, Gales HSB, and Elgoods Cambridge, all in great condition. Also good pub grub menu available throughout day, freshly cooked. This pub deserves to succeed, use it or lose it, give it a try!

Popped in for a quick pint on my way home from work. Havent been here for years and its certainly changed a lot. It was early in the evening and I was the only one in there. The interior of the pub doesnt help with atmosphere - quite a cold feel to the place. The pint of HSB I had was just about ok.

Went there yesterday (Monday 29th June) evening having sustained myself through two traffic jams with the thought of a pint of Pride. Arrived about 6.30 - no beer at all. Eh? All four pumps not available. No Pride, no Discovery, no ESB, no guest beer. Good grief. This is a Fuller's house with no beer. It was OK last week so what's gone wrong?

The stroppy young scot with baseball cap behind the bar said it was because Fuller's "failed to deliver today". And the beardy regular on lager said they had waited til 4.30 and then said they couldn't get there.

I said hang on a minute, even if they had delievred, the beer still needed at least a day to settle so even if there was a failed delivery that still didn't explain why all 4 beers were off. Response "well that's what happened and there's no beer." Which, to use the marketing technical phraseology, is a lie.

What's worse, no beer, lying to customers or thinking the customers are so stupid they wouldn't spot it?

Popped in here for the first time last week. Not a bad pub, but then not a good one either. It definitely lacks atmosphere, amongst other things. A quiz was attempted but most of the small crowd were more interested in the football. The sort of place I would go only if everywhere else was closed.
