| Just had our wedding reception in the function room at the Foresters and not only was it great value for money, Ray and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond by putting up some decorations for us. The room when we arrived had been transformed from what it is usually like and looked beautiful! The food was fantastic and there was plenty of it and it was no problem to have some sandwiches for the kids and nibbles for the adults when we arrived earlier in the evening. They made the room available from early in the morning for cakes and decorations to be dropped off. The pub has a comfortable and friendly atmosphere which a lot of our guests commented on, this was also my experience when popping in before hand a few times to sort details and pay deposits etc. They were very accomodating and happy for us to provide our own music and made sure that the few bits that got forgotten at the end of the evening where kept safely for the next day to collect. | Further to my previous posting I thought I'd give this pub a second chance. Popped along with a friend for a drink but the place was full of students and the beer was very very warm. Nothing against students, just didn't expect this place to be that sort of pub. Reiterate my comments about Ray not being very nice and also quite intimidating. This is a couple of very sad bullies, who can only enjoy life when they are trying to inflict conflict and missery.
