Gave this place another go and I'm glad I did. Staff were a lot more friendly and the experience overall was very good. Food is excellent here and I would recommend it. If you're local, register your email address and get a free bottle of wine (plus an extra 20% off if booked online) on your first visit. triumph - 27 Jun 2010 11:21
Popped in for a snack on Saturday lunchtime. Was looking for an ale and a sandwich, but was told that the kitchen staff had been sent home - it was 1.30pm ! To be fair it was quiet and I was the only customer. Make your own conclusion. triumph - 28 Sep 2009 22:20
Having not visted this pub for a long time, went in on Saturday night for a meal, the food was excellent value for money and good, service friendly and helpful. The pub area is warm and welcoming, but the restaurant area felt cold and isolated, if you do decide to eat here make sure you book a table in the pub area and not the restaurant. Definately worth a visit. MG100 - 24 Aug 2009 14:09
The food is great, but have to agree it's more restaurant than pub now. It's run by the same people that used to be at the Red Lion (Milford) NOW CLOSED and that was the same. triumph - 18 Apr 2009 01:13
Yes become more a gastro pub since re-opened with little space left at bar to sit and drink and when you sit down at a table with a drink the staff come up to ask for your food order. We intended to eat that evening - but they did not know that already and shows how it has become more restaurant orientated. Food was fine and plenty of space for diners. andy8 - 23 Jun 2008 07:16
