My uncle was the landlord of this pub in the 70s and early 80s, Alan Wright. I worked there as a kid on a saturday morning for a few years. I have fond memories of this pub. The Brixton riots made my family move away. All good things come to a end lewisrwright - 3 Jan 2009 23:55

Dumpy and scruffy were its charms and it was a main attraction after hours, particularly on the weekends, and hosted a diverse crowd. Sadly it has passed into history and is now a dime a dozen corner shop. drum2000 - 16 Apr 2006 18:36
Used to be a top pub. Now an overpriced food and wine. Doubly annoying since I've just moved in round the corner. strongcontinental - 21 Mar 2006 15:41
Small - dirty - seedy - but one of my favourite pubs in the area. Not one to impress the new girlfriends mother - or the new girlfriend for that matter.Pool table good, beer OK, relaxed closing times. Goonagain - 29 Apr 2004 17:01
