Consistent and reliable for both food and beers and anything else you like really. Tardis like inside with large garden which the frontage does not suggest. Well worth trying. brianthelion - 29 Mar 2012 16:16
Visited Thursday with Uncle Fester, had range of beers and blonde beers and HerefordHPA too. Stuck with the Moorland Original - lovely pint. Stayed outside, impressed with the "star trek" warmers in the beer garden. Brilliant atmousphere, and good organisation, friendly staff. off_down_the_farmers - 25 Feb 2012 14:40
I do like Harvest Pale - its about time Uncle Fester took me for another brew... off_down_the_farmers - 15 Jan 2012 18:56
Unassuming from the outside, this place is a little gem. There are two bars - a smaller front bar and a much larger and comfortable lounge at the rear, where most of the beers are poured from. Both rooms are fairly modern in style. Although the front room is slightly more traditional. Castle Rock Harvest Pale, Wye Valley HPA, Church End Cracker & Salopian Sleigh Rider were all on today, plus there was also a polycask containing Moles Black Rat cider in the room at the rear. Sky Sports News was showing on the TVs. Whilst the rear room was packed, we were the first to settle in the front room. There were plenty of bar staff, ensuring quick service. I'm sure I will return someday. blue_scrumpy - 14 Jan 2012 22:22
2nd stop on JQ crawl. The Art Bar tag almost put me off bothering, which would have been a shame as it's a great pub, making a good attempt to be all things to all people. Even late afternoon it was very busy, with lots of folks eating. We tried both of the UAB beers which were good, and there were a couple of other ales on as well. bike2beer - 31 Dec 2011 15:38
