Unreconstructed old local full of old locals enjoying the Brew XI. Hobsons was the sole real ale which does show some imagination at least. Overall, a jaded pub, needs a bit of buffing up.

Pretty much as paul says although it seemed so retro to be a good memory jerker when most pubs were like this. Again only Hobsons on with lots of silly over the top keg and lager fonts for company

Seemed like the Rover's Return from the 1960s to me (thought flock wallpaper had long disappeared). Hobson's Best was fine but the only handpull. We were the only ones not interested in the big screen football.....Can't say I would rush back.

Traditional - yes. Landlord a bit grump - yes. Beer nice - usually. Carpet sticky - oh yes!

Could be soooooooooooooo much better with just a little effort but not bad and much more an old area locals and businessmens lunchtime bolthole than many of the others in the Quarter.
