The jewllers arms was once a nice quite pub to go and enjoy a drink, its since been took over. i would not advise people to go there has i feel you may have an experiance i did, with the new owners and staff. they wasnt very welcoming at all, staff were not helpfull and the new owner moody and rude ex licensee of the gunmakers of bathstreet he was evicted from there not so long ago and now he has another pub to run down

The pub has changed hands recently, the pub has improved and has started selling a cask ale since I was last there.
Plus they sell Tastees snacks which must give pork scratchings a run for their money!

The pub has been taken over recently by a very enthusiastic lady who has worked there for many years. She has introduced real ale, which was sadly lacking and early reports are that it is selling well. Initially the beers were only Greene King IPA and Old Speckled Hen which were well kept but we hope to see some more interesting beers in the very near future.

I live in the apartments on the corner and I have to say, this pub is such a disappointment. Before I discovered the Clifden on Great Hampton Street (thank God!), I thought this pub would be my local. I'm glad it isn't!

Every time i've been in there, I've found the place at least half empty (and that's saying something, considering it is tiny).... the staff are hardly friendly.... there's just no atmosphere whatsoever.

It's a shame, because with New Hampton Lofts around the corner, the station over the road and the main hub of the jewellery quarter nearby, this pub could make a much better impact on residents and visitors.

On a recent visit to the UK my husband and I were asked to leave this pub just as we sat down. My husband was ordering drinks and I was about to (discreetly) breastfeed our baby. My understanding of the laws in the UK is that children are not banned from pubs (at least not before 9pm) and it is illegal to discriminate against breastfeeding mothers. A very disappointing experience.
