A proper pub without any pretentions - the ale (Butcombe) was quite drinkable too. One of the few places to have a decent pint in the town. Snarling_Mallard - 21 Oct 2018 11:06 |
We always struggle to find decent real ale pubs in Yeovil when we come for the football, but this one was excellent. Two decent ales (including Bass), very friendly crowd, I don't think we'll bother looking elsewhere on future trips.... TheMortyVicker - 22 Feb 2015 16:44 |
this must undoubtedly be the best local pub in Yeovil, Great real ales, good atmosphere, and the regulars don,t mind conversing with visitors, so it is a great place to pop in for a quick pint ,or to spend a very pleasant drinking session,or to listen to great live music. not at all a blokesey pub,my missus loves going there.Hope to see lots of you in here soon THE BEERSWIGGER rogervfell - 14 Aug 2012 18:52 |
Now has 5 handpumps, and will be serving Dorset Brewery beers and interesting guest beers. Regular music events and organised trips (brewery visits, dog racing etc.). Fast becoming the best pub in Yeovil - the glory days are returning! beerpilgrim - 9 Jul 2012 17:45 |
After a short period of closure, this pub is under new management (again). Seem pleasant people though, with experience in the trade. Only Doom Bar on on my visit, but hopefully a better range of beers will follow. One to watch! beerpilgrim - 1 May 2012 00:05 |
