Much better since the refurb, but still a sterile Marstons pub. The ale is drinkable but nothing to write home about. Better than most other places on the square. jackd77 - 25 Mar 2008 13:38
Went in last Friday night as my local the lord Clifden not quite finished its refurb yet and what a pleasant surprise. Ropewalk obviously seen a refurb too new furnishings and decor plus 3 real ales on handpump. Everyone else on lager/wine that i could see so not hopeful but my pedigree was in tip top condition..welcome back, give it a try. brianthelion - 25 Feb 2008 08:44
Only been in on a Monday evening so can't really comment on the punters as there weren't any. No decent ale so I had to go for the Guinness, which was drinkable. The barman was friendly enough and it's a nice big room, it just seems like there is something lacking about the place. Not too pricey for St Pauls Square. not great, but better than some in the area. mattyboy - 12 Jun 2007 10:50
