Such a great looking building in a fantastic location - what a waste of space!
Awful coloured lights inside and a dodgy "DJ" who i'm sure doubles up as a bar memeber and suits 1980's weddings...
Drinks range isn't exciting, food cheap - the area needs a decent, quality, interesting bar, something funky and independent - like the Rectory but with cask - rather than a branded over styled pub. Sorry!!

I recently had a work party at The Rope Walk on a Friday night, it was such a good atmosphere. The place was packed. Id already called the week before and reserved a good table and had two bottle of champagne waiting for us when we arrived.

We ordered loads of starters and side orders to snack on, it was perfect and really good value. I would definately recommend The Rope Walk for a party. We were only gonna stay for a couple of hours but ended up staying there all night.

Great location to meet friends.

A Very good Marstons pub, very comfortable and relaxing, and the hobgoblin was well kept. A perfect alternative to the rectory that doesnt have ale and charges a small fortune. 7/10

Good pub, with 3 real ales on tap. Last time I visited Jennings and Marstons were on tap. Big pub - can be like an aircraft hanger if it is not busy. Friendly landlord. Good selection of snacks, including Tastees.

Hit & miss, sometimes a really decent atmosphere, staff seem a bit cold sometimes and food hasn't always been perfect but drinks are good value and it's friendly
