Popped in here recently to re-visit my past. Jesus - the smell of the old men in this bar was revolting! I truly had to step back a bit from the bar after giving my order. Sat in a small snug up the back. A few ales on tap and reasonably price.

Advice: take a pomander or some Febreze with you if you decide to visit!

Called in here because the Dalriada was closed. Thank goodness!
What a fabulous old boozer serving great beers. Spotlessly clean with barmaid wiping shelves between serving customers.
It was refreshing to find a pub that does simple snacks as opposed to tarted up plates of microwaved mush.

Loved it.

A friendy locals pub with comfortable seating and a lot of old photos and trophies dotted around. Seems to be a golfing theme and looks to be home of the local golf society. There are two side rooms off the main bar, one of which holds a number of books. Four real ales, 2.75 a pint, and I had a couple of decent Northumbrian Gold's. There's also an impressive whisky gantry of 50+ bottles and a Malt of the Month sells at 1.80 for a 35ml measure. Good place for a beer and a chat.

Another pub that's not seen a refurb since God knows when. Awful decor, but serves a purpose as being the only pub in Joppa.
