a soul less place, beer is not that well kept, the no trainers rule is a joke, turning away respectable people who were popping in for a drink! They turned away my friend who is a 40+ professional! sandgrounder - 1 Jun 2009 17:07
Loved this pub a year or so ago, was out last weekend and went back in there with girlfriends and its still a friendly place. Staff are happy and service was good even though they are busy. Only criticism is it seems to have changed worryingly into somewhat of a chemist in the toilets! Shocking. Hertsgal24 - 29 Mar 2009 03:46
OK at lunchtimes but no tainer rule in the evening is just plain daft. bigbadbri - 14 Oct 2006 21:19
No trainer rule? Me and my friend got in wearing army boots. Any how, very crowded during evening and night, loud, young people mostly. Berr was alright though! They had aLondon Pride and 'Fork Handles' or 'Four Candles', how ever it is said. The Four Candles was lovely, really nice taste. NeilA - 20 May 2006 17:17
A welcome addition?! Hardly... the no trainer rule is just plain daft, the food (tried only once, never again) horrible (soggy chips, cold spots in meat, salad on it's last legs) tables aren't cleaned enough glasses and spilt drinks (and this was early before it got busy) and the staff are indifferent, not at all friendly and welcoming. Sorry but I don't rate this highly at all compared to others on offer in the High Street, it's trying to be a posh wine bar but failing miserably. Remy - 19 May 2006 13:00
