| Bit of a downmarket kind of chain pub but they do have a few of the usual suspects ales on. The place wasn't as bad as many of the same ilk and was good value for money (£1.49 for a reasonable pint of Marston's EPA and no beers or lagers over £2.70). Would drop in again if in the vicinity. | Sorry but TGSM comment is incorrect. In fact i dont think he has even been in the pub lately!! The person called "CAT" has not worked at the pub since before christmas, and the new manager is in fact a Man!! The Pub is really great now!! Great atmosphere every weekend and really busy. | The new Manager is excellent, he does not tolerate drugs... like the old Manager did so please do not listen to the other reviews. It is a really friendly place with excellent bar staff and the assistant Manageress is the best they have ever had.... I have been goin here for 4 years now and am so so glad to see the new Manager who has returned the place to its former glory!!! Hallelujah...!!!!! Happi days and happi nights in the goose....!! moonmoon - 29 Jan 2010 20:26 |
| just spent the evening at the goose in walthamstow, what a great night. Good atmosphere, busy and not intimidating. Staff were friendly and efficient. The food offering is excellent 2 meals for £5 at the moment, but it does look like the full menu offers really good value for money. Best pint of London Pride i have had in a long time!! I believe they have a new manager, lets hope he keeps things going as they are, a most enjoyable experience. Fatgandi - 13 Jan 2010 20:11 |
