I have been working in the area so I pop in every now and then. The beer was not to great but the staff are very friendly. Wright66 - 6 Jan 2012 22:06
Dropped in here on Saturday and was pleasantly surprised. The place was quite busy but the bar staff were efficient and quick to serve. A good range of ales on offer & the Porter I tasted was excellent. A warm & cosy feel to the place which was most welcome given the crowds and cold outside. BlueMoon - 20 Dec 2011 15:56
beer quality always rough some promising beers ruined by dirty lines ( old peculiar, vale, purity etc none tasted as they should have ) maybe just too many beers for what seems like a lager/bottle pub. otherwise well presented, clean pub, regular music . THUNFAN007 - 15 Dec 2011 10:34
i like the pub unfortunately their larger is not great.the girls serving seem to more interested in talking to each other than serving customers, good atmosphere and always busy. have not tried the food so cant comment. sambucca941 - 28 Nov 2011 01:06
I was in here yesterday with my Brothers and Farther in Law On a regular Pub Crawl of the area. As already said this place looks more like a pub should nice old style building with plenty of character and it has some nice cosy corners too sit in. Its been modernised over the years but its not been wreaked and keeps a lot of its original character. There were a good selection of Red Squirrel Ales Plus other Ales on tap and between us we tried most of them I'm pleased too say they were all in excellent condition. We found the staff & other customers very welcoming & happy too give us advice on which Ales they had tried and enjoyed. I would say this is well worth a visit if your in the area. I think we will be putting this on one of our regular Pub Crawls as there are Not too many better Pubs nearby now days. Alesonly - 18 Nov 2011 10:25
