| Pub was visited and tested. Judgment: Pub is clean on first glance but is slightly suspect. Pub is traditional and allows customers to sit outside, however, the good points stop there. This pub is particularly rowdy and low brow. Some, staff keep face by seemly sorting out order but if reported a visitor and not a regular this is only an act. Some lower members of staff laugh at the idea of keeping order. The pub was forcibly closed by loss of licence on February 2011 due to selling alcohol outside permitted hours. The bar manager was also found to have failed to notify Scottish Borders licensing board of a drug supply conviction as reported by BBC News Online: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-south-scotland-12336458 0/10 PubTester - 12 Jun 2011 05:30 |
