Oh, the Two Tubs - you bane of my life. When I'm there on a Friday night, I know I should have gone home! But the atmosphere is good. You have to watch yourself here and there on a Friday night, and it can be a bit of a Meat Market at times, but it's a popular place; everyone converges there from Yates's, Pics, Knowsley, White Lion, Wyldes, etc, etc. It reignited my love for modern music. I don't really listen to the charts - I get very surprised when I hear something I know on the radio, and I like it. It's the Two Tubs that does that. But it still plays the Old School; DJs seem to know what songs work and what doesn't. carlchrystan - 7 Jun 2010 21:56
Fantastic! My favourite pub in Bury, I go here every time I'm in town. Plenty of space, really good atmosphere and interesting layout with different rooms. Last time I was in there an Irish folk band started playing at the back and we got two and a half hours of it for free, it was fantastic. catfitz - 10 Apr 2010 13:53
I like Warstarter.. it's nice to get a good pint of real German beer in Bury. I have been going in on and off for 25 years and it was a pleasant surprise to find this decent pub is not only surviving but doing well. Only get to go over one Friday in 6, but it's always a pleasure to see a friendly face after 2 hours on the trams and trains. julia.d - 2 Oct 2009 00:19
