I've called in here a few times, early evening, for a pint and although all the real ale pumps have labels on stating "Cellar Cool" the pint is usually room temperature. This pub has a Cask Marque plaque outside therefore I expect better especially at the "top wack" prices charged! Maybe Cask Marque should inspect here a little more often?? hail_the_ale - 12 Sep 2010 21:12
This pub was recommended by the proprietor of our accommodation, but we weren't impressed with the food service, overpriced mediocre fare. I ordered Chicken Balti with Naan Bread, the waiter turned up at the table with "We've run out of Naan Bread so we've put you two pieces of Garlic Bread". I never send food back at these establishments, I just don't use them again. derosa101 - 27 Mar 2009 08:35
this food is of the highest quality,i have visited many times over the years, and any one going to llandudno must try ther delicious braising steak in red wine.the meal is accompanied with vegetables and chips/or pots and veg and are again very good.i only wished i could find a pub where the food is as good in the west midlands,a bit pricey but recommended mchael25whit - 12 Aug 2008 11:36
claims to be one of the older inns of the town. interior has been tastefully and comfortably expanded to cater for more customers. focus is largely on dining. not all that many original features noticeable, but nicely refurbed. couple of well kept cask ales. courage directors when I visited. april 2007. reynard - 8 May 2007 17:39
Decent pub. Beer was very drinkable (Directors and Brains SA). Food was good typical pub grub - nothing too flash but well cooked and tasty which was just what I was looking for / expected. Harpooner - 15 Aug 2006 18:32
