I had a pint of Innkeepers in here on Monday last week whilst on holiday in Llandudno. I thought it was a decent enough pub. The ale was very good & bar staff friendly too. Would definitely recommend a visit.

I thought this would be a nice cheap place to go for a new visitor to the town. Not so. Get this - double vodka and mixer - over £5!!! Outside of expensive clubs or super trendy bars I've never come across that sort of price before. Where I'm from you can get that in some places for £2!! And those places are smarter than this. I don't mind rough looking places, which this is (apart from a nicer bit up some steps), they're usually cheap and friendly. They are NEVER, in my experience, anywhere near as expensive as this. Now I wonder - was this a special price cos I wasn't a local/am English?

Imagine taking a 17th century farmhouse & plonking it in a backstreet in the centre of a town & you have The Cottage Loaf. Whitewashed with small windows, plenty of colourful plants & hanging baskets make this a very quaint place to be. The front beer garden is a real suntrap & the rear has shelter if the weather isn't so good. Inside the rustic theme continues with a stone floor, low beams & large wood burning stove. There is a slightly more modern upper level next to the bar. Gertie Sweet New World Pale & Conway Brewery Welsh Pride were 2 of the 4 real ales on offer. Amazing this place has survived considering its right next door to Wetherspoons, but I think they've carved out a bit of a niche as it seems to be a popular music venue.
