| A very pleasant boozer, with good atmosphere, good food offering and good ales. Beer on offer included Hogsback TEA and something from Pullman (I forget the name). It has several areas, meaning you can watch TV in one area without disturbing others. They had a nice real fire going near the bar as well. I had the £4.95 "credit crunch" fish, chips and peas. It was spot on for the price - I couldn't finish all the chips! The beer was £3.10 a pint. It also has a generous car park. In short, no complaints at all - just a decent, proper pub. | Brilliant pub. Always busy with a great atmosphere. Staff so helpful and on the ball - nothing too much trouble. Beer is first class (my favourite is T.E A.) and food is very good too. All in all a lovely English pub which I would recommend to everyone. beehave - 13 Dec 2008 21:33 |

| Great local pub that is traditional in the way that it still shows the football and has resisted the urge to go gastro and lose all atmosphere. The food is tasty, sunday lunch especially which makes it a great place for grub and a pint. Davidson - 20 May 2008 13:20 |
| I love this pub - friendly, unpretentious (as everyone says), and what I like most is the T.E.A Traditionally English Ale. To me, this is one of the nicest ales out there, so im always happy in the Wheatsheaf. Also has very friendly staff. Willferox - 26 Mar 2008 17:57 |
