We thought we'd try this pub again after a really bad experience last time. It's very much IMPROVED. It seems that the new owner/tenant? has been there just a week or so. Three ales on when we visited and a good range of bar food. The beer was in good condition and the service efficient and friendly. Certainly worth a try. 6speed - 10 Aug 2011 18:25
Oh dear. It was such a good pub. We visited lunchtime midweek and the place look rather scruffy and deserted. None (!) of the bar menu was available. The friendly barman fixed us up with toasted sandwiches (£3.50). The Tinners was cloudy and off. We settled for local Windsor and Eton ale which was fine. The pub gave the impression that it's about to close- might be wrong, but it's a shadow of its former self. Pity. 6speed - 12 Oct 2010 16:46
June 2010. It's still a great little pub. Welcoming and cosy. We have always found the beer well kept. micksimm - 28 Jul 2010 22:41

Let's get this straight shall we! Yes, the pub is currently a little "tired" but the new guys are doing their utmost to remedy this, whilst making their clientele, old and new, most welcome! A new broom sweeps clean dontcha know? Let them sort out the previously dire menu, tart the place up a bit and carry on selling great beer! This pub is child/animal friendly and always good for a laugh. Come on you lot, spread the word around! Hanging baskets are now appearing and the outside area cleaned up. It's a great place to drink in the evening, the locals (if a tad crackers) are friendly and welcoming. So, you know where to go now, don't you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beachbabe - 21 May 2010 08:44
