| A great little pub within striking distance of Romford town centre but without the idiot element. Only one real ale (Adnams) but it's generally available and ok. | Since it has been taken over by new management and had a complete facelift this has become a little oasis for the more sensible drinker. Close enough to Romford but far enough away to deter the underclass. A very 'female friendly' environment. There is a wide selection of newspapers to peruse and a large screen (with muted sound) on the wall and inoffensive background music. A wide range of well kept draught beers and lager (4 lagers, 2 bitter, 2 real ale, Guinness, cider). Live music on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings are advertsied on a 'A' board outside. | used to be able to park me coach round the corner n slip in for a quick half on the way back to the yard here, is a old mans / locals pub but the beers not bad and pretty cheap and also miles outa town so dont get the idiots in here , not a bad boozer . romfordir - 6 Feb 2006 16:50 |
