Although the staff in this pub are helpful and friendly, I would highly recommend to avoid this pub. Fights between customers take place on a regular basis and one should stay away to simply not get involved accidentally. Gangs of youngsters hang around, provoking passer-bys, and the police are present on an almost daily basis. No, I am NOT exaggerating - I live nearby.

I visited this pub fairly recently and it was pretty awful. The first pint of real ale was sour and the other choice was uninspiring, so I went for the Abbott. The staff were going through the motions like zombies and the only time anything lively happened was when the barmaid pinched the barman's bum. This pub was put up for sale by Wetherspoons but obviously there were no takers. The area is going down hill fast with the ASDA supermarket having closed down. In all very depressing.

As someone said before a lot of trouble there at weekends... why do they insist on letting these youngsters get drunk on hooch just to make a quick buck!
