| I use this pub every now and then. Best pint of Harvey's in the area. Usually have several Harvey's beers on hand pump at any one time. Friendly regulars, excellent bar staff. No food. | Out for a walk with the wife - passed this place and thought we would call in. Just after 3pm on Good Friday - lights on, bar busy & just about to order when the landlord (?fella in shorts & flip flops?) says 'we close a 3pm'. The look on my face as I scanned the bar looking at all his 'in the know' regulars must have said a lot - he then says 'but we open again at 4:30' I assume he wasn't lying, that they weren't all there for a lock-in and this pub really does close at 3pm on a bank holiday afternoon. | The best pub in Hailsham, definitely worth the walk down South Road. Very well kept Harvey's beers. A friendly and traditional boozer. They don't do meals and they are not open at lunchtimes Mondays to Thursdays. Have a Darts Team and Pool Table. 2212512 - 31 Jan 2010 22:17 |
