Unexceptional. Not awful by any means but not really worth a trip. Two or three cask beers - which are ok but unadventurous (London Pride and Greene King IPA were available last time I was in there). Food is a tad overpriced for what it is (despite some rather fancy names...). Not especially congenial.

i think the place needs to understand what it wants to be...a pub that does pub grub, or a gastro type pub. it is very confused at the moment. staff were not the friendliest. beer o.k

went for a sandwich and a pint. the beer was o.k and the sandwich was mediocre. £5.95 for a fishfinger sandwich, thats it no chips or anything to go with it. the real downside is the unfriendliness of the staff....and the fact they are always going outside for a quick puff....and i never saw a handwash on reentering the bar. overall a lovely pub in a beautiful village shame there are not better landlords in situ.
