| Seems to have had a bit of a facelift since my last visit, which has smartened it up somewhat - not before time. It's not the most attractive pub in the JDW chain, but the beer is usually well kept. One usual criticism though - too many beers marked 'Available soon'! beerpilgrim - 8 Jan 2012 23:14 |
| I have used this pub regularly in the past, probably 3 or 4 times a year but it has been getting worse and worse. Went in on a Saturday afternoon. Only two beers available from the 10 pumps all displaying ales. The wrong food was delivered to our table and then had to wait quite a while for the correct one to arrive. All of the staff accept one bright young lady (probably wont last) were zombies. This is now one of the the worst Wetherspoons in the area along with the one in Weston Super Mare. | went in at 1100 am was quite busy but got served easily.the pint of abbot was a good pint and at the price compare with the rest of the mendip area was brillant. an average spoons and would go again if in the area forestwood - 9 May 2010 11:26 |
