Going back a few years now, but visited here with the Horsham team for bar billiards: our captain worked his charm on the landlady and we got a lock in ! Really friendly pub with a great atmosphere. tommo5 - 12 Aug 2011 20:20
Went there with some friends/family on Boxing Day for lunch. Food was very, very good and reasonably priced so wouldn't hesitate to eat there again. There were four proper beers on offer (memorably ESB & L.Pride) but I wasn't drinking coz it was too early for me, that and the fact that it's one of those old boozers with beams you keep bumping your head on! The pub's in a picturesque setting. Behind it there's a duck pond and some twittens (that's 'alleys' to you Londoners) if you fancy a walk before/after eating. de101 - 29 Dec 2009 13:22

Make the most of the lovely barn next to the pub - it's being turned into accommodation at the beginning of November. Apparently they've got Bob Brozman playing ther on October 25, and boogie-woogie piano maestro - and now Chuck Berry's sideman - Ben Waters on October 31st. trikemaniac - 17 Oct 2008 19:28
I was very impressed with this place. The ales drop out of barrels on the bar back, and were all very good. I had a good chat with the staff, and learnt a bit about poker, which they seem to take very seriously. Will vist again. bradwan - 7 Sep 2008 21:40
