| What a great pub this is,serving some of the best beer i have ever tasted.A lot of drinkers decry St Austell beer, wrongly in my opinion,those who do should come to this pub and try there selection of the brewerys ales,they are kept in superb condition by Steve the Landlord.Apart from the drinking side the pub also offers great food (allday carvery is fantastic value).The pub also has the best views in all of Cornwall,overlooking the river Tamar. | Spotted this one from a boat in Plymouth Sound and thought it looked promising. Another good decision!! Four St Austell beers. I tried both Tribute and HSD - both well kept and slid down a treat. Good food with both a menu and a carvery, the latter very popular with the locals. Nice drive to get there but watch out as the car park entrance is easily missed. REVERENDBAZ - 12 May 2008 09:47 |
