Called in last Saturday evening. Proper pub, excellent pint of Cheddar Valley cider, ( my better half was driving!!) Both fires roaring, perfect. dorsettyke - 5 Dec 2011 16:58
Visited on a monday lunch. Fairly busy, good crowd of locals and friendly atmosphere. Had couple of pints of Butts - excellent condition and reasonably priced. Good old fashioned pub, civilised erudite landlord - well worth a visit ! smithy384 - 18 Jun 2011 15:06

This is a lovely old pub near Stourhead on the B3092. No public transport to speak of, although you could get a taxi from Frome or Warminster. There are usually several decent real ales on offer from micro breweries. Good bar food at lunch times and a non-smoking area. It's a friendly environment with a warm welcome from the landlord. Highly recommended! fromedrinker - 2 May 2006 13:39
