Its fine enough place to drink but very very smart and hardly a pub. To its credit always has at least 1 local ale, but expensive on everything not least its over rated food. theposh - 30 Jul 2011 00:40
Visited several pubs in the town centre on Saturday, including Cromwells Cafe Bar, Samuelpepys Three Tuns and Market Inn. Didnt stay in any of them for any length of time. This was by far the best .Three real ales on, nice bar area, friendly staff and comfy seats. Beer a bit pricy £3 a pint ,but then again it is a hotel. jasonking - 22 Jun 2009 14:29
Old country house hotel that used to be a bank, Comfortable chairs, pricey food and decent beer, 3 hanpulls all available today. Easy going for its type, good and relaxing. imdownthepub - 12 Apr 2009 17:32
Its a Hotel.... so expect Hotel prices, The food is very good and if wine is your thing, you'll find one of the finest wine lists in the county.. If not East of England. Beer not half bad.. but... its a Hotel Ziggles - 13 Aug 2008 20:00
An excellent pub/hotel - I liked it very much. Just somewhere you can take the foot off the pedal and come out of the rat race for blessed moments and relax away. Good standard of bar service and excellent range of drinks - good vodka, rum, wine and gin selection and 3 real ales on. Go on, treat yourself. Mcloj - 3 Sep 2007 12:18
