Just to confirm, the Railway at Heatley is very much closed: not only burnt down but demolished. Only a bare site is left. This is an ex-pub. It has ceased to be. A pity, because it was a good pub in its day (several years back).

this hotel mysteriously burnt down this morning 2 november 2011.Asad end to a rather fin example of railway architecture.

This pub has regrettably been closed since Autumn 2007. A great shame as it was the last truly traditional, multi-roomed pub in the area. No doubt another victim of the smoking ban.

Was closed last time I passed. Went severely downhill when the old landlord left a couple of years ago taking his ceiling mounted air filters and cellar skills with him. Real shame as it used to be a proper pub with a snug, lounge, pool rooms, darts room and NO CHILDREN in some rooms (excellent!). The replacement landlord was a right miserable so and so who would rather watch his cronies playing poker than keep/serve good ale. Damned shame as this was once a fine watering hole with good ale and bar food limited to basic rolls and pickled eggs!
