| Worth noting that this pub has recently upgraded its restaurant facilities. I have yet to try them but early reports are promising. this has probably been done out of necessity rather than expediency as this remains a proper traditional pub for drinking beer in. The landlord rightly takes great trouble and pride over the condition of his beers, which can include some surprising and unusual guest ones. Ever a favourite of mine! | When we visited, it was crowded and smoky with locals watching a football match. Our sunday roasts were mediocre - the standard Brake Bros style pub grub. Service was cheerful if slightly incompetent. Stallywag - 20 Nov 2006 17:01 |
