new landlord took over lasy year and the pub has improved ten fold. venue is clean, service excellent, regulars friendly and the food is not out of a microwave. worth a visit

Despite the poor reputation of the area, this is actually a very nice pub. The people who run it know what they're doing. Always a warm welcome for the odd forlorn blow-in like myself.
