| I think this is a nice place, I've always found the staff really friendly and teh service very good. I have to admit I only go here during the week so I can't comment on weekends but my friend and I go here to share a bottle of red most weeks and feel really at home here. | Excellent place, friendly atmosphere and how pubs should be - there's just one fruit machine and no jukebox or fag machine but plenty of music piped and good quality drinks. The best pint of Stella Artois in Essex! Nice outside seeting area, very good food for the money, lovely in the Summer. | Rude staff need training in manners!! Yes it was very busy we were warned food would be 1 hour ok we waited after 1 hour 15 mins we went in to enquireon number 64 told "not long now". waited another half hour asked again. we had been given order number 64 .on checking what we had ordered we were told "duh we brought that out earlier youre number 94 tut!
