Quite possibly the worst burger and chips i've ever had in a pub. And for £10 I would expect a lot better! Not the biggest pub in the world either. It's only plus point is the friendly staff but that's not enough to make me ever want to venture back in here. telephones_and_toliets - 4 May 2010 10:27
Where to begin - the drinks in this pub are so expensive you would think the Queen was renting a room above it. This is a classic example of a pub so far up it's own backside that it sticks out like a sore thumb in the Ealing area. If I want posh i will get on my unicycle and pedal down to Chelsea not go to an overpriced pretentious lacklustre establishment on the way to Acton! The beers, despite their enormous cost were very nice and the bar staff are friendly enough. The food, although overpriced again, was also very nice. Overall 5.0/10 leejobmod - 1 May 2009 11:44
Had some lovely seabass and there's a 2 4 1 on the cocktails early doors so you don't really have to break the bank. Yes it's a little bit "up itself" but that's Ealing for you these days. realalesnob - 28 Apr 2009 19:46
Plus points are that it's a nice relaxed bar and the food is quite nice. Bad points are the ridiculous prices of the drinks. £4 for a Czech beer that's less than 50p in the shop accross the street is crazy. tom1968 - 14 Mar 2009 07:12
Nice food, drinks and clientelle. Some seem a bit like they think they're actually famous LOL!! Looking round to check who's watching them rather than enjoying their night out. Makes for great people watching. For the smokers, the outside seating is good, especially as it is sheltered should it rain. The 'smug' notes in the toilets that treat you like the management is your chum makes me grind my teeth a little- trying tooooo hard to be trendy and facebooky. I'll decide whether I like your new menu OK? You shouldn't assume - even better try asking. A nice bar-perhaps they need to take a hint from their clients and step down the smugness a little! Mind you they have got a nice little place to be proud of. squizita - 21 Feb 2009 17:24
