| This is our local pub and we love it. It's fun to watch the crazy Greek(?) chef serving up good food and if you want to engage in banter about the abundant sport on the TVs, there's every opportunity to do that. The manager is on the ball and the place is generally good no matter what mood you're in. In this strangely shaped pub there's a beer garden, pool tables, darts, music, sport and good clientele. On the downside there are no cask ales here and the service could be slightly better when certain Eastern European women are behind the bar. But apart from that, it's mostly good! | The barmaid was friendly enough when she finally made an appearance and I could get used to paying £2.80 for a pint of Guinness. There are a couple of plasma screens and the pub has Sky Sports. I have to agree that there are better pubs in the area. Strongers - 9 Apr 2009 07:18 |
| It used to be my favorite pub, the stuff used to be friendly, the manager was great! now... i can't believe what happened to this place... it used to be absolutely packed in the evenings even during the week... now it's just empty and boring... Oza - 25 Mar 2009 11:29 |
| Average pub really, average in the pejorative sense. Average food, average beer, average prices, average decor, average garden. There are better pubs in Acton. ye73812 - 9 Sep 2008 05:02 |
| They've definitely smartened it a bit since its Mr Q days, but it's still a very average place. Interesting layout in a triangle between two streets: smaller front bar and a long passageway through into a more roomy back bar with pool tables etc., plus a beer garden. I didn't notice any real ale. Didn't have food; it smelt very nice though. grecian - 1 Jul 2008 11:54 |
