Appalling service recently. When served a warm pint of Ruddles last week, I decided to take it back only to be told by the serving person 'it is supposed to be served at room temperature'. She then took a sip and said it tastes alright to me! Her opinion was challenged, and the other person behind the bar grudgingly - eventually - told her to change it. And this in a dive that was recommended in this year's GBG. Don't go to Folkestone often but if I do, will not be going here again. It is with this kind of bad attitude and hopeless customer service that we see people staying away from pubs and drinking at home, and who can blame them. You, lady, are a disgrace and full update on its way to Camra where I hope your entry is rescinded

Sitting outside on a sunny day was very pleasant with four ales to choose from and a good range of food including fresh fish (no batter). We had a baby with us and he was well looked after too. It is near the high steet and shops but in a quiet location. Worth a visit.

I'd always received a good welcome in this pub and did so again on both recent visits. Even when seven of us walked in together we were welcomed and given a taste of the guest beer, an excellent triple hopped offering, the name of which escapes me now. On our visit the next day the guest was Exmoor Hound Dog which was good again. The pub has a well-kept feel to it with comfortable seating inside and a bright modern exterior. One of Folkestones best pubs.
