user reviews of the Elephant and Castle, Bolton

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Although the food menu has changed (no longer carvery) it's still a decent option, albeit a little unreliable... quite a few times I've been in when they're normally serving food but haven't been for some reason or another.
The cask ales are very well kept indeed and great value for money. Friendly bar staff too.

Good now, 5 very reasonably priced cask ales (two @ 1.49) and decent carvery type food. A good alternative to 'Spoons for food.

Just been renamed to "The Elephant & Castle" and been improved quite considerably. Good choice of very cheap drinks, aimed at the Wetherspoons/Yates market, food seems reasonable and good too. Weekend afternoons are just shoppers/older couples out for a quick cheap drink.

Wasn't too bad here, slightly chavvy but it is good for football and the drinks were fairly reasonably priced. But there is much better pubs in Bolton.

Not very nice place at all, full of chavs.
