After spending a few hours in the waterman arms all the locals and visitors head to the pier before 11. Music is loud and there was a fight with some of the loclas completely different to the watermans! party atmosphere!! anonymous - 25 Jun 2006 01:15
This used to be one of my favourite pubs. Good food. Decently priced beer. Friendly staff and locals. Can get a bit rugby-obsessed, but brill for a piss-up. cockneystu - 9 Mar 2004 13:53
Used to go here for quiz nights 4 or 5 years back when I knew people who lived around there. Watched a few England games during the 1998 world cup and the atmosphere was electric. You got the feeling the clientelle were capable of turning a bit ugly but that aside it a pretty decent pub. Good for: midweek piss ups thenationofjames - 28 Nov 2003 16:08
Great local boozer! Bar staff really friendly, food reasonable prices and big portions, good atmosphere when the footie/rugby is on and the cheesy Friday disco is always good for a laugh. Beer is cheap also! Catherine - 3 Sep 2003 13:12
Cracking pub on Pier Street and Manchester Road on the South part of the Isle of Dogs. Not far from Island Gardens DLR. Good atmosphere, good food, busy most nights. Saturday nights always amusing with a cheesy live band. Packed quiz night on Tuesdays, a real east end boozer despite close proximity to canary wharf. mccaffc - 25 Mar 2002 16:29
