AT THIS TIME OF YEAR , ONE WOULD EXPECT THE HEATING TO BE ON IN ANY BAR, NOT THIS ONE!. COLD AIR COME,S THROUGH THE circulation SYSTEM. WHEN YOU ASK THE STAFF ABOUT THIS, THEY SAY, WHY ? ARE YOU COLD ?. SOME OF THE STAFF WILL TELL YOU, THAT IT IS VERY WARM BEHIND THE BAR, AND FOR THIS REASON THEY PREFER THE HEATING OFF. WHAT ABOUT THE CUSTOMER? DIODE - 15 Apr 2009 16:42
Having ventured into the Rhinoceros I moved on to here. Having visited before I knew that this is one of the better Wetherspoons where the staff seem to be fairly well clued up. Surprise, surprise, the Real Ale was served at a more ambient temperature and in decent condition, therefore much more acceptable. The only disappointment was that I thought the beers on offer were not as interesting however this obviously depends on personal taste and the beer rota for the festival. Otherwise a clean and safe feeling drinking establishment. danbert - 6 Apr 2008 09:25
Nice-looking Spoons, adventurous beer policy but average quality, understaffed on my visit. mtaylor40 - 19 Feb 2008 20:32
agree with everything thats been said already. standard wetherspoon menu also available. I also read in the wetherspoon magazine that the manager and staff spend time at local breweries, learning how to handle cask ales properly. commendable practice indeed. they have also had the opportunity to produce their own ale at one of the breweries, which was on sale in the bar. reynard - 20 Jun 2007 17:56
