Wandered past the other night in a desperate search for somewhere to watch the Arsenal game (most pubs showing Man U vs. Celtic...in London. Right.).

Point being, it looked very closed. Possibly for refurbishment. Anyway, on previous visits it's always looked like it could do with tarting up, but I hope they don't turn it into a nasty modern shiny bar.

A strange one. The pub is in the middle of the Grafton Estate, which is very much not like mayfair at all. It looks pretty grotty from the outside and I must say I heard to many bad stories from my colleagues to go there for a long time, but when I eventually did I was quite surprised. It's alright inside, plenty of barstaff (always a bug bear with me), decent Guinness. It's certainly not a regular hangout for me, but I will certainly go there again.
