And of course Tom, the new assistant manager. I knew I'd forget somebody! :-( Gostevie - 21 Jun 2008 15:59
Just to reiterate my previous post, Lee has not only made this a great pub again but he has assembled a great team. Kate, Brenda, James, Karah and the others are fantastic. (Oops! I'm bound to have peed somebody off by forgetting them.) I should add for the sake of balance that I only use "The Greystoke" in the afternoon, so I don't know what it's like in the evening but I haven't heard of any trouble. If it's excitement you want from a pub then I suggest you go to Ealing Broadway where there are several 'exciting' pubs. If you want to relax with a beer or three in convivial surroundings then you couldn't do better than "The Greystoke", just over the road from North Ealing Station on the Piccadilly Line. Oh, and there is a bookies next door as well if that's your thing. Gostevie Gostevie - 21 Jun 2008 15:49
Further to me previous review, I would just like to say that Lee has improved enormously. Perhaps I was being unfair. This is a great pub again. Gostevie - 19 May 2008 09:14
I'm sorry to say that I agree with those posters who have said that this once superb pub has gone downhill since the new manager, Lee, took over. Admittedly Mark was exceptional, but Lee just doesn't seem interested and appears to view customers as an inconvenience. At times he is just plain rude. Such a shame. Gostevie - 29 Feb 2008 13:24
Spacious and bland pub. Food is average to poor. Prices here are fairly cheap but they are obscure amounts that always leave me with a pocket full of small change. The old manager gave the place some much needed character. However the new guy doesn't seem interested and has let standards of service and cleanliness slip. drinker_x - 23 Feb 2008 18:10
