| A little overpriced compared with other pubs in St.Helens but a good choice (4) real ales and well kept. Black Sheep is a regular for now with others changing. | An attractive external appearance hides some fairly ordinary indoor surroundings. The pub is made up of a hotch-potch of rooms with no unifying feel to it, but it’s by no means terrible, because it’s a pleasant enough place for a pint. There is a large dining area and a decent drinking area outside, although it’s a bit close to the car park. They always have Jennings and Cains on and have a regular guest beer. | Lovely pub, classy. Went on a sunday afternoon to the restaurant side of the pub. The food was delicious, well cooked and nicely presented, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
