This used to be without a doubt the best pub in Sheffield (this end at least) before it was given the Mitchell and Butler treatment. The staff are indeed ignorant and indifferent, the prices unjustly flattering and the friendly party buzz that used to make it special sadly missing. There is a doorman at the front but as there is an unmanned side door this seems like more of an attempt to look more interesting than any kind of security statement. Go somewhere else.

a serviceable establishment off the more poncey confines of Eccy road. Becks, Budvar, Friuli and Landlord available. The garden was quite good but beyond that I was hardly blown away.

Beer is expensive and the lighting is really low to the point of being difficult to see where you are walking. The doormen don't keep out all the undesirables, they let in their mates who spend more time in the toilets than at the bar. The barstaff are completely ignorant/indifferent to beer/drinkers.

A once traditional drinking pub that has lost all it's character since being taken over by mitchell and butler. More like a restaurant when I went in and the beer is SO EXPENSIVE. The concert room has been done up ok but because of the prices, I won't be coming here very often either as I used to. Plus, every pint was a short measure and it's just so tiresome having to ask for a top up.

This pub has recently been refurbished by Mitchell and Butler and the landlord and staff are completely new. More emphasis on food and all the TV screens have been removed. eer garden has been titivated and there is now an outside seating area at the front. Doormen prevent any of the more undesirable old elements from getting in. Presently the vote is stiill out on whether this is an imporvement but the high prices have not gone down well with the old regulars. I'd welcomme other people's viewsd on the 'new' Lescar.
