Amazed at some of the comments. I had no idea this was a chav's place. I've only been there during the day when attending the cricket at Trent Bridge during the summer. Always thought it a really decent place. I'll be interested to see what it's like after the makeover. Very amused at the Yummy Mummy remarks , very true at the Casa across the river which seems to have closed, I imagine temporarily. The last time I was in there one of these women complained to the the management that I was smoking (OUTSIDE) because her precious Dominic or Nigella had a cold!!

Has undergone an extreme makeover and couldn't fail to be an improvement on the filthy chavhole it once was. Sadly it's far more gastro than pub these days, food looks decent though it's far from cheap. Popular with families, far too many of whom are from West Bridgford's brigade of yummy mummys, their repugnant spoilt offspring and their worn down husbands (who'd clearly much prefer to be in a proper boozer). A decent enough place to take visiting in-laws but you wouldn't make it your local.

I agree, this place is a dive. Doubtless the owners would tell you that `we are only giving the customer what they want`. Righto.
