Usual Spoons, just looked in to see what was on the bar. 8 hand pulls with some great brews on. Didn't stop, had a bus to catch. 427scr - 4 Jul 2011 13:27
Visited last week. Huge pub. Not enough staff. One serving at the bar and one serving food and cleaning tables! Wetherspoons seriously need to decide if they are running a coffee shop or a bar! As soon as the barmaid starts making coffee all beer drinkers have to wait 5-10 minutes. Feel free to serve coffee but staff your bar for it!! Had a distinctly average pint of Exe Valley Devon Dawn. Would not visit this Spoons again. Shame! Average selection of Ales nothing interesting! FloridaM - 4 Mar 2011 16:30
Still being described as a Lloyds No.1 which it isn't. Huge Spoons pub on the waterfront in Torquay. Eight pumps, always serving at least two local ales. Always a good selection of beers on. There is a second bar and further seating up a flight of stairs. One minor criticism is that there never seem to be enough staff behind the counter! Other than that this is a pretty good pub. waldonent - 8 Dec 2010 20:15
This is a Wetherspoons pub (not one of their Lloyds No1 bars) and has all the usual trappings. Beer was OK on our visit with Bays/Hunters and Exe Valley being available. Handy for the bus stops in the town centre and the harbour area. There is a Lloyds bar (The Green Ginger) in town further along the road - Fleet Walk - which also offers locally brewed beers. Service in The London Inn was a bit slow but it often is in a Wetherspoons when you are queueing behind a shipping order for food and kid's drinks !!! mcroyal - 13 Aug 2010 13:12
