Currently has the excellent Biddenden cider on. AFAIK that makes it one of two pubs in London to stock Biddies, the other being the Claret at Addiscombe which always has it.

A brilliant pub in many ways, but I wish they would get rid of the canned muzak.

The steak dinner with a pint for £12 on Thursdays is a good deal - my steak was substantial and tasty.

A scruffy pub that has many different beers and ciders, far too many to keep in good condition, my first pint was cloudy ,vinegary and clearly undrinkable after drawing this to the attention of the server two others behind the bar chipped in wondering how much I knew about Cronx beers, well I've tried enough and I can walk to the brewery from home. I offered to buy all three a pint of this if they would drink the lot, this was refused -i cannot imagine why. If you have to bother with this pub the emphasis is on high gravity beers and ciders. It just has to be a zero.

I have to disagree with some off the comments posted, after a promising I think this pub has gone backwards. The main problem is the ales (the first thing you should get right), they are served far too warm. This has been an issue here for some time - if there is an issue with the cellar temperature then maybe they could consider line chillers on their ales? This could be a great pub but they really need to address their key business - The Beer!

I didn't realise this place was part of the same group that includes the excellent Antelope. This place is even better even though it doesn't brew it's own beers. No matter, the choice of real ales and real ciders was staggering, many from micros and the quality was spot on. Food was brilliant as well. The pub was busy, service excellent and it's highly recommended

Made a return visit to the Good Yarn today. I felt it had a better ale selection than on previous visits - Weltons Come On England, Binghams Admiral & Doodle Stout, Hook Norton Yeastie Boys, Greene King Abbot, Sharps Doom Bar & Ruddles Best. Cider was Black Dragon. It was fairly busy with its usual fair share of shoppers. We grabbed a booth in the family area at the rear. One of the better pubs in Uxbridge.

Oh Oh!! Arsenalfan is back [and I'll bet he's never had 11 pints in his life]

Today April 27th I went to the The Good Yarn for lunch and I went up to the counter and I was served by Jasmine and I ordered a ham and cheese toastie and an orange juice and I went and sat at table 27 and I watched people walk up and down the high street while I had my lunch and The Good Yarn is quite a big pub with lots of tables to choose from and you can even sit at a big round table at the back and I will return next time I go to The Good Yarn

Nice two-bar local pub, friendly landlord and a small but interesting range of beers including Betty Stogs which I had. This was very nice and obviously well kept (may have gone on recently). There was a good atmosphere in this pub which always helps.

This was my first of 3 pubs in Hampton on Saturday evening. The other two were better, in my opinion. This place has 2 rooms. The main bar was busy, with all tables taken. It looked quite nice. I retreated to the side room which is presumably used more for diners. A sign showed that the kitchen had just re-opened that day. But nobody was dining. This second room felt very cold in comparison to the other. The lighting made it feel quite stark. Ales were Otter Bitter, Skinners Betty Stogs, Courage Best & Hogsback Tea.

A Tuesday night in Hampton and it’s my first ever visit to the Railway Bell. I am here for football at Hampton & Richmond Borough and with 2 (open) pubs between the station and the ground it makes sense to start here.

Even though it’s dark when I get here you can tell that one of the best selling points with this pub is the large garden to the front. Inside it’s quite busy with a good smattering of locals as well as people here for the football.

The chap behind the bar who I assume is the landlord greets us in a friendly way and chats while I peruse the 5 hand pumps with 3 ales on, which were Wells Bombardier, Courage Best and Otter Bitter. The Otter was decent & drinkable.

We took our pints and sat near to the bar with a couple of local chaps. The décor is pleasant but the walls could do with a paint job & the lighting is a bit dim.

Worth a stop for a pint.

This is a poor pub. A shame as it used to have character when I regularly visited 15 years ago and is in a good location on the High Street.

Went in on Saturday evening and all of the ale was off. So were all but two of the lagers - the most expensive two. The young chap behind the bar couldn't of cared less in his job and made no effort. The furniture is tired and falling apart and the place smelled.

We had one drink before moving on. A disappointment as it looks smart from the outside. There's not a great deal of good pubs in the area but this is certainly not one of the better ones.

Looks nice and an improvement on the blandness of the area but they do not seem to have a clue really.

Such a Shame was very excited by the opening of The Bloated Mallard, but had very dissapointing meal (all 3 of our meals were pretty bad).

I had already heard someone complain how bad her and her childrens food was, and since friends have said they would never go back in there as their food was also bad.

They could do so much with it as well, as they have a big garden and there isn't any pubs that have kitted their garden out with childrens equipment in this area. (like the Crown in Twickenham - great food and great pub for children).

Lets hope there is an improvement.

Friendly local pub with a couple of nice beers on and amiable bar staff. Customers ok as well, jukebox, people in with their children in tow, that kind of thing. A proper pub doing what they are supposed to do I thought.

The World's End seemed a nice locals pub. Many were watching the live football. But there were a number of families still in as kids can stay until 7pm. There is a pool table one side of the bar. Ales were Hogsback HBB, Windsor & Eton Guardsman & Greene King Abbot & Fireside. I tried the Fireside, which a very nice tipple. Much better than I had expected for some reason.

A short stroll down the High Road from the Railway Bell and you reach the World’s End, which is a very different pub with a different breed of punter inside.

It’s my 3rd visit to this place having used it almost every time I’ve been here. It is a proper drinkers pub full of locals that on my visit were getting ready to watch the football on television (Chelsea).

4 ales to choose from with my pint of Hepworth Red Export @ 4.5% being very good. The pub is carpeted throughout with a pool table one side. Small garden to the left hand side that also acts as a smokers area.

I have found in the past that the locals can be a little unfriendly but on this occasion one of them was very helpful and gave me the lowdown & directions to the nearest take away food shop when I went back in after the game for a quick pint.

The World’s End is a better pub than the Railway Bell.
