Visited here for the afternoon. Fantastic, great locals giving the place a buzz. Had lunch, local produced cooked well and good value. Brilliant landlord and good staff. Local Donnington ale. Well worth visiting.

By far the most comfortable and most pub-like in Stow. Feels very traditional and even had the interesting locals and knowledgeable landlord to prove it.

Decent Donnington ales on offer, all of which were very good indeed.

Recommended.

Had the Donningtons BB and a Sunday roast. Both very enjoyable and excellent service. Good traditional pub. Plenty options in Stow but this is a must try.

First time in the Adam for a long time and must say, what a change, the last landlady had been there for what seemed a lifetime so wasnt sure what to expect, not dissapointed, now a Cask Marque pub, great beers and very friendly atmosphere, had Arkells and Donningtons beers on, beer was excellent, bar has been opened up from two small bars to one open area giving the pub a much more roomy feel than it had before without losing the friendly nature of the place, spotlessly clean and the guy behind the bar was more than happy to let you sample the beers before making a decision,

Recently taken over and renovated, what a cracking little boozer! Skittle alley used 4 times a week, and darts team in. Allotment turned into nicely done beer garden. Sky television showing 2 different games, but not in your face. 5 real ales, and I must say the best pint of Guinness Ive had in a while. Mens toilets bit oldy worldy, but my partner said the ladies were spotless with fresh flowers. Locals raved about the Arkells guest ales, and were very supportive of the new Landlord who has just received his Cask Marque. Keep up the good work.

Donnington Gold was on when i visited. Skittle alley in use as well. Pub is very dated, a mish mash of bar stools and furniture. Not my type of decor, not a pub i would search out again.

Naff place. Plus points is that it offers seven casks, many from local breweries, it has a wonderful fireplace, and it had a relaxed outside area. Minus points are lack of atmosphere, tasteless decor with working mens club carpet, piped music a tad too loud and of questionable choice, and naff staff.

Good meals at reasonable prices. A proper English pub in the heart of the city. Good range of beers too.

Nice enough old pub that has been refurbed down an alley off the main shopping street. Four or five ales on - had the Otter Amber whih made a good start to the day.

The two most recent reviews seem to substantiate our opinion and experience. We stayed for one drink, although we had considered eating. It was very 'quiet' on an early Saturday evening but we were told they only had one steak left and "only a few prawns". One of our party has special dietary requirements and was told that when we placed our order they would consult the cook - obviously not keen to help in advance.
Tired and dated decor/furnishings didn't add to the experience. Neither did the loud music.
One good point: our ales were properly topped up without need for a reminder and seemed to be in decent condition.
Not sure if the photo that goes with the pub is appropriate or not - pity about the police vehicle! Maybe things get more 'interesting' later - we did note there was 'live music' advertised for later on.

chain style pub/eatery - three ales on Pride, Hobgoblin and another bog standard (probably GK IPA). Didn't look inspiring so I went elsewhere.

Not a particularly good experience.

There was a choice of four or five hand pulls on offer from which I opted for a pint of North Cotswold’s Windrush Ale. It was drinkable, but I have had much better pints of this excellent brew elsewhere.

The décor and furniture are very tired and long past their best before date and there was an overwhelming smell of chip fat.

My wife described the ladies toilet as UGH !!!

Very taken with this pub on Saturday evening. The locals were a chatty bunch, the juke box was excellent and the pool table was very popular. A selection of 5 real ales, I would have preferred less pale ale in the choices for the time of year. Black Rat perry at £2.80 a pint was a popular choice too!

Probably the friendliest pub in Tewkesbury. Five real ales five traditional ciders and lots of well known favorites. Great Staff and very friendly customers. Lovely beer garden. Dogs welcome and family friendly. What more can you ask for

A sign of a good pub is an outside shithouse...... And this pubs got one! Good range of ales and ciders, I had a nice pint of Morgan. Was busy on a Wednesday evening although it doesn't open until 5.

bjbrummiejohn, I seem to recall you telling me that some time ago when you last had an unhealthy relationship with a sheep you were fined £30.00.

Shabby run down place.
I was in early last Saturday evening and just 4 other customers two playing pool.
The other two tw@tes were sat at at the bar blocking my view of the hand pulls of which there were 6 -2 were unused.
I managed to workout that they had High House Farm Sunchaser & something called Sharks Head. The other was called after a unhealthy relasionship with a Sheep. I tried this and it was not bad @ £3.25 a pint. I pump for Cider.
TV was on showing German Footy.
