Not the finest Wetherspoons. But I thought I'd give it a go as it's in the current Good Beer Guide. There's another one just round the corner, which I didn't go in. Ales were Everards/Townshends JC IPA, Greene King IPA & Abbot, Marstons/Tyler Brown Barley Brown's ESA, Tring Death or Glory, Sharps Doom Bar & Vale Fusion. No real cider is served. Car parking is available next to the pub. But you do have to pay.

Bog standard Wetherspoons though the ale is reasonable you get the Jeremy Kyle brats-in-tow acolytes and the one person serving behind a busy bar policy.

Komakino's summary of 8th April is spot-on. The layout does at least allow you to escape the less desirables in the main. My occasional visits are usually in the daytime and the barstaff invariably are welcoming and helpful. This particular Wetherspoons is still much better than certain other branches in Oxford, Banbury and Reading amongst others.

In here early afternoon last Saturday and nice comfy little boozer.
Four others are present.
They have a dart board and two TV’s were showing Football and Darts.
2 Hand pulls 1 for Marstons Burton Bitter and 1 for Pedigree.
I had a pint of the latter which was quite nice and cost £3.40.

In here last Saturday and quite nice for a hotel bar.
There is a fair crowd in early afternoon and piped music is playing.
They have 6 hand pulls but only 3 in use from Greene King.
IPA, Abbott and Old Speckled Hen.
I had a pint of the Hen which was very nice and cost £3.40.

in reply to pivedlocal dated 4 july 2014.
we have been taken over by m&b and their intention is to improve the place in the foreseable future. we now have a 5* rating from the local council and thats never been known here.we also allow everybody to use the premises and everybody is treated the same. it is our itention to improve the ambience of the place and if at any time you have a problem just speak to the management. they are not scum as you have said, but very approachable people that work hard and enjoy working for orchid/m&b and try very hard to give everybody a warm feeling and try to encourage repeat visits. if you wish to come and discuss your comments with the management we will happily sit down with you and discuss.

The Yeoman has been taken over, not by M & B the pub chain but complete scum.

The Pub is now the new Kingsbury because the managers are scum and most of the staff are benefit workers.

The police visit the pub more often than a regular, bar staff are hand cuffed and taken away,

When the managers son comes to visit he also gets nicked and taken away by the police.

All in all the place is it's usual shithole but is now run by the Norwich version of Stig of the dump.

With the flats above Sainsburys being filled with another load of benefit tossers, the people running the pub will feel at home.

M & B, this is not a pikey pub but it is now???????????????????????
