I recently popped in here for the first time in over ten years and I could hardly recognise the place. I have memories of a rough and ready no nonsense drinking den, but it has now fallen to the gastro sword. It is a big pub, but the rear feels more like a dining room although it does lead to a nice beer garden.
Pride, Landlord, Hoegarden, Stella, Heineken, Kronenberg, Staropramen, Amstel, Fosters and Strongbow were all available. I was served an OK pint of Pride by a friendly enough barmaid.
I was disappointed with my visit and I wish that I hadn’t bothered as my previous memories of the New Inn have been tainted.

I defy anyone to say they can find a better Sunday carvery than here! Huge plateful of anamazing choice AND they willingly topped up our plates with chosen veggies! Delicious! Not any more expensive than elsewhere-though did find the kids running around on Sunday afternoons irritating-apart from this it is highly recommended!

Not bad. Staff are friendly enough, as long as you don't happen to go in when the polish girls are working. A more miserable face you never will see, not even a simple 'hello' or 'goodbye'.Rude.

Sunday roast is blooming excellent!

Enjoy a pint here before jumping on the 65 to go and see the super Bees (you're spot-on, anon, 12.9.07). Like Man Utd, some can only buy the shirt and call themselves fans when they rarely venture inside the ground. Decent boozer. Enough said.

Great pub and great food especially the carvery on Sundays, I would give this pub ten if the drinks weren't so expensive, i.e. charging as much for a blackcurrant and soda as you would for a pint of beer, would have had a beer if I knew they would do that.
btw there's no pool table, it's wrongly listed in the facilities above

Decent pub.BUT Too many Replica shirt Chelsea tossers, instead of sitting in a pub miles away from Stamford Bridge to try and get your footballing bandwagon jumping kicks - why not pop down the road and watch the team that lives on your door step, namely Brentford, who knows - you might even enjoy a real life football match.

Large open plan pub that is very noisy for a quiet pint. The kind of pub that is probably best when full. The pint of Pride I had was mediocre - although increasingly i wonder if that is what Fullers are quite happy with, West London is full of mediocre Pride often served near freezing with a ton of condition to cover this up.
Anyway had half a pint and left Friday at 5pm ish not going back.

An amazing pub, the staff bend over backwards for you. The New Inn has a family feel, lots of regulars which makes it more welcoming. I cannot praise the staff high enough. We had a joint birthday party in there and the staff were terrific. The food is fantastic, always something on the menu to make your mouth water. 10/10 for atmosphere especially on a Friday, we go there practically every Friday and it never lets us down. A pub WORTH going to.

My girlfriend and I go here v/regularly she (and she is extremely fussy / choosey / demanding / knows what she likes / etc ) will not GO anywhere else for food! I agree to a certain extent, however, I like different things - bet you if i asked them, and they were not busy they would do it i.e. a omelette. So top of the pops staff, management service first class!!

Large Victorian pub with an impressive frontage. All one big U-shaped drinking area now, although there are a few cosy corners to sit in. Lighting is likeably subdued. Most of the chairs and tables are now of the annoying ‘modern’ variety, i.e. straight-backed chairs and big tables designed to get you eating rather than drinking. The array of two-foot-high lager dispensers on the bar is ridiculous: when are pubs going to wise up and get rid of these vulgar advertising monstrosities? Two real ales available, Old Speckled Hen and London Pride, and both were in very mediocre condition. I’ve now given the new Old Speckled Hen (strength reduced to 4.5%) a few chances in more than one pub, and been disappointed each time. A classic beer destroyed by Greene King.

The New Inn is a fantastic pub, with a great atmosphere, the staff are fabulous, and the carvery is high standerd. has the inskt got the right New Inn? i have no complaints.
|
Charmless formulaic gastro pub, with overpriced, poor food. Snotty staff and elitist ambience. Rubbish.
|
my other half insists on driving half way round London to eat the Sunday Roasts here. Unbeaten so far.

The new inn has been in a stae of identity crisis since the refit three years ago. Admittedly, it was run into the ground before, but now it doesn't seem to know if it wants to be a wine bar, a restaurant or a trendy cafe. It's like a mix and match pub, you never know what you're gonna get. The roasts are pretty good at the weekend, and the terrace out the back is impressive. It's a monster pub, and i know it sounds old fashioned, but surely this was better when it had a jukebox and a pool table?

Awesome family orientated pub with the best sunday lunches around, smoke free areas and outdoor seating with cover.

I went to The New Inn in Ealing a few weeks ago, when the weather was really nice, it was so nice just sitting outside on a summer's evening with a few of my mates, and just chatting. The atomsohere is so calm and you do feel totally relaxed x

Stumbled upon the newly refurbished pub one Saturday. Had a delicious lunch and some very nice wine. No smoking area too. Not too expensive.

Listen Up! If you thought that the new inn was o.k. as it was, then you must have enjoyed: Crap Beer, and being surrounded by Fake "ye Olde Pubbe" Dust Gathering shite. Granted, I miss the juke box, and the cobbled courtyard had its moments, But the garden was a disgrace. Now it is much better for a summer music crowd, 25-45 age group (that's stayed the same) and a brighter enviroment. Beers a bit pricey, but its good. So I say it needed a change and it could have been a lot worse, Give it a chance to be as good as it used to be (especially in the summer months!

Why o why? Another pub lost to mediocrity...... trying to attract the poncy crowd who will hang around for a couple of months inflate the profits and then move on to the next big thing......... shame on the owners
|
Fabulous little local, that has now been lost to the realms of Gastronomy - its a true shame that such a loved pub has jumped aboard this ever growing trend

Not sure what some people want from a local pub. If you want good friendly (and good looking)staff, superb atmosphere, great value then go to the New Inn

This place stitched me up for 20 quid, which in my semi-inebriated state I forgot to get off the barman when I asked for cashback (and signed it off on the receipt). Realised my mistake about two minutes later, but the barman denied all knowledge. Never been in since.
