Run-of-the-mill 'spoons, rather gloomy downstairs, and not surpringly (given the location) charging at the upper end of this chain's prices (but still cheap for the City, though). Fair selection of beers on for the Spring real ale festival.

Large sprawling two floored Wetherspoons that does what most Wetherspoons do. Not one of their better pubs despite the premium location.

I have visited a number of Wetherspoons in my time and do not consider this anywhere near the worse. (Please see Penderel Oak in Holborn). What I have found in the past is that they normally have a good selection of guest ales in this one which I sometimes find lacking in other Wetherspoons. Saying that my last visit was not great with three guest ales appearing to be on but turning out that two of them were off. The Damson Porter I had was OK though. Service was good with the barman being very apologetic.

One of JDW's more unappealing pubs. Gloomy reminded me of a converted underground station. Not much of a selection of real ales; had the one pint and left.

Really scary stuff on the wall about The Green Man. I got frightened, ran off and got lost in Bank Tube Station.
Do Wetherspoons employ special people to drink in their bars? Every one i've visited has had the same looking people in it. 50 year old electricians with beards. Maybe there's some Union discount?

Worst Spoons I've been to, due to the rudeness of some staff members. I was acused of passing a forged tenner - yet this was one I had been given in change just minutes earlier! There was no apology, of course.

When I complained about a bad pint [frequent occurance]I was treated with suspicion, and again, there was no apology. The bar maid said - " I know nothing about beer, mate", like as if I was trying it on...

This pub is relatively cheap for the City, but it's worth paying a little but more to go elsewhere. I was a regular - as I normally love WobbleSpoons - but this is well below par. Their worst crime is that they can't even keep their regular ales properly. Add surly staff, bag thieves, and tasteless food for a pub to avoid. Shame, really. This should be a flagship for the brand - instead, it drags them down...

Professionals choice for "Breakfast" this,...oh, and if you actually wanna eat, they do serve a wicked fry-up for 1.99 before noon...(for the later starters amongst you....)

The one saving grace of this place? It's quite cheap for the area. I've never had a decent pint in there though - stick to the bottled stuff if at all possible.

Went there last night for the evening with some friends. Thursday nights are Weatherspoons curry nights - £5.99 for a good sized curry wih a pint. Bargain for £6 & my vindaloo had a meaty kck to it!

Seemed to be some beer festival on as there were about 97 beers on pump but I was on the black stuff which wasn't bad (when poured correctly).

Was busy & was a good atmosphere in there - even in non-smoking area. The main bar area it didn't seem that smokey which was good.

All in all, had a nice cheap evening - beer, food & conversation - what more do you want?

Unpleasant, dingy pub with one or two very rude members of staff. JDW at its worst. Avoid.

Not bad, not great but not bad. Very large, standard Wetherspoon's (cheap drinks, expensive food) but still quite cheap for drinking in Central London, if you can find it hidden away under Poultry. 6/10

Not nice. This is the kind of pub frequented by the kind of people that spend all day in the pub. In it's old location in Bucklersbury, it used to serve excellent Boddingtons from the barrel, but 15yrs have past since then. Bucklersbury has now been paved over by Palumbo's pink palace, and the Green Man is dark and dingy buried in their basement. It's size is handy if you're throwing a party, but otherwise it's average.

It’s cheap (for London) and there are about 4 squillion fruit machines so ideal for killing an hour’s lunch break… oh and it’s HUGE

Situated in the basement of the "1 Poultry" shopping centre, this is a standard Wetherspoons fare, but with a Central London premium on the beer and food prices.
