This is a really lovely inn, with lovely food, lovely real ale and run by lovely people. It really is worth a visit on a Friday or Saturday night when, from all accounts, it is packed, like it was when we visited recently. We had a beautifully cooked steakn with all the trimmings, washed down with a couple of pints of Ferryman's - beautiful!

I am a resident so you may accuse me of a bias but I do visit regularly so you can guess it's fine! Very busy at weekends too so other folks must enjoy it too. There are two bars with local people always in each and the bar staff are never anything but freindly to all!

Really enjoyable pub. Good selection on the menu and great pint of Otter. Staff very friendly. Recommended.

visited last night, unable to sample any food/ale as their card machine wasn't working. 3 ales on. The bargirl told me it was their 1st night under new management; I over-heard some locals saying so far so good. Hopefully when im next in the area I'll go back. Found a nearby toby which had Tribute on, fantastic pint.

Have used this pub on three other occasions when food was great. Today we were most disappointed. Meals @ 3.99 seemed warmed up and were unappetising. We will not be visiting again as the service was also poor. Looks like this is a popular view as the pub was almost empty.

Visited last night. The Speckled hen tasted a bit off, but the Otter was fine, until it ran out. Appears to be under new management and heard talk the CCTV cameras and possibly, recording gear, have been used to ban locals for making less than pleasent comments about the landlord!!!!
Pricey but worth a visit.

A popular pub/restaurant, this pub is a popular destination for many lunch time quickies! It has a friendly and inviting atmosphere with a large fire, pool table and good beer! The food is nice and there is a varied menu for reasonable prices.
